VED s.r.l. was formed in 1970. It started by the name EUROSKET, supplying services, such as industrial gasket and G.R.P. piping installation in the Priolo (Siracusa-Italy) industrial area and also in the surrounding industrial location of the Sicily region. Soon it developed an innovative thermosetting technology capable to manufacture large diameter GRP pipe and fittings by the “Continuous Filament Winding” process. The Company activity evolved by introducing FURMANITE mechanical maintenance services and assistance that allows intervention on running plants such as leaks sealing and hot tappings. A new Company division was then set up to enhance mechanical joint system reliability. S.G.S. Sealing Global Service was among this process outcome. It is a high reliability operational system ranging from the sealing problems analysis up to the product design and the final system test and control. The Company research activity has also been focused on the “Fugitive Emission Control” so confirming VED’s commitment to the attention on the natural environment and worker safety care. Today VED employs more than 200 people over Italy and abroad. VED technology know-how developed and the achievement of the excellence in worker safety and environment safeguard standards, allows the Company challenging major Italian and European competitors in the international market arena. A Global Service is supplied on turn key basis cooperating with the customer in all the business relation steps : from the design to the product manufacturing up to the installation and the maintenance of what has been supplied.
